… at the invitation of M.Part
Flotowgasse, Vienna
This presentation took place in the 19th district of Vienna, in a small apartment with a balcony on Flotowgasse. This is where Michael Part lives, who invited me to realize a project on his balcony. It was about doing something “semi-public” to do some kind of performative, that’s my suggestion. So I sat there on June 21, 2010 with a bottle of my favorite whisky two armchairs and a small table on which was by Gustave Flaubert La Legende de Saint Julien l’Hospitalier (St. Julian the Hospitable). A wind chimes specially made for the occasion on the balcony and a collage there was something to look at in the interior. Friedrich von Flotow’s piano concertos played in the background. I only ever received one person who offered whisky and water. Then I let the person know that everything that happens now is only from themselves. So what you’re talking about, as well as the volume and type of music. So if the person had no special wishes, Flotow continued to run. She also had to decide for herself how long she wanted to be my guest. Then after a while, rumors spread that up there on the balcony (a small number of visitors had already gathered down on the street) read by hand and that there is an ominous waiting list, which one Establish a certain order and only certain people are allowed to go up. Displeasure spread and some left angry but many wanted to already know what it’s all about. Then the guest left and I told this one, heshould please keep what you have just experienced to yourself and send the next one up to me. That evening, however, I had about twenty to thirty very intensive conversations that I had due to the abundant whisky enjoyment, only as a peculiar dream are remembered.
